Five transition trends

The weather is finally getting a bit warmer and is it just me that starts planning her spring/summer wardrobe when there’s even just a glimpse of sunshine?! I thought I’d run through the trends I am stocking up on.

Denim

Denim is here to stay! This spring/ summer is all about those denim jumpsuits, playsuits and dresses. I think denim dresses are so cute and easy to layer and style. I own the misguided number below and it can be easily worn with a long sleeved top underneath for those transition months.

Satin

Satin is still huge. In particular midi satin skirts. These can easily be styled with a polo neck in the day or something more glam for the evening. I own this double split number from ASOS.

Cowl Necklines

Is it just me or this trend a blast from the past. It’s bringing back those 90s vibes. I have to admit I’ve never loved this neckline but I’ve come to realise it really dresses up an outfit and is a great neckline for petite girls. I own the number below which can be paired with black trousers for work or alternatively dressed up with leather trousers or jeans for the evening.

Slip Dresses

I don’t actually own a slip dress yet and think their slightly harder to pull off. But I love layering and I think these could look cute in the summer paired with a plain T-shirt.

Peplum tops

It’s all about that fit and flare! These tops are supper flattering for a petite body. I don’t own any as yet but have linked one below that I have my eye on.
