Five Face Masks that Actually Work

Every brand under the sun has jumped on the face mask wagon. As much as I love face masks, and will them to work, there have definitely been more than a few that have come up short. Saying that, there are some gems out there that literally make you look and feel like you’ve just come back from a spa retreat.

1- Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask (£17)

The Bodyshop are a great affordable brand for skin care. This was the first ever mask I tried from them and I was not disappointed. Charcoals masks are renown for their purifying abilities and this little number does just that. Bodyshop face masks are also huge ( 75ml) so they literally last forever.

2- Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask (£17)

This was the second offering from The Bodyshop and I loved it just as much. I was initially doubtful as I’m not the biggest fan of honey and it can be a little messy. This is obviously personal preference. If you like honey, your going to love it. But this mask blew me away. It makes your skin so soft and supple.

3- Sand and Sky Australian Pink Clay Mask (£39.90)

This particular mask impressed me so much that I did a whole blog post dedicated to it. This mask is pricey but clears your skin like no other.

4- Talika face masks (£15.80)

These are not the easiest to find and a little pricey online. I always go on the hunt for them in my local Tk Maxx. These come in your standard sheet mask format. The difference being there’s a initial mask and then a softer jelly like second layer. This two step process isn’t the quickest. I tend to do it in 30 minutes but I believe you can keep each mask on for up to 30 minutes so can total 1 hour. Again, these truly lift your skin and can make a world of difference.

5- Sephora face masks

Who doesn’t love these? The variety of these masks is almost over whelming; with an ingredient to target everything from anti fatigue to hydration to brightening. I’m so sad that we don’t have a Sephora in the UK but make sure to always pick these up in bulk whenever I go abroad.

I have tried the Tony Moly I’m Real Avocado Mask Sheet, but it didn’t work out well for me. My skin felt super sticky after applying the mask 😦
