Inspired by Aways Cleia, I thought I would delve into the current beauty releases that I won’t be purchasing.
This palette is literally everywhere. I think you’d be hard pushed to even find one of these available for purchase at the moment. Every blogger and insta influencer is using it to create all sorts of bold looks. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this is not me. I love looking at the insta worthy looks and appreciate there is most definitely skill and time gone into creating such looks, but it isn’t really transferable to my everyday life. That sums up this palette. It has a few too many colours that I wouldn’t opt to wear on a day to day basis.
I always want to love Charlotte Tilbury releases. But so far I’m yet to be wowed by any of the products I own. This particular instalment is under whelming to say the least. It boasts four nude shades; two shimmers and two mattes. I feel like unless your very fair, these wont even show up on the lids. I also think you can purchase an Urban Decay or ABH palette for a very similar price. To me, their pigments deliver more and you get a lot more shades for your money.
I’m not a fan of celebrity endorsements. Bold statement I know. But I also think its cheeky of the brand to put a Kardashian on the product and for that to be its main selling point. This collection consists of 5 products, with Khloe Kardasian and her best friend Malika Haqq both releasing a bronze, blush and glow palette each, as well as two lipsticks. Theres also dual glow letters. I can’t lie, I do like Becca powders, however I don’t think this collection offers anything you can’t buy from the brand already.
Jaclyn Hill has collaborated with Morphe again, to release 4 eyeshadow palettes; Armed and Gorgeous, Bling Boss, Dark Magic and Ring the Alarm. I have to be honest. I love the color schemes of these palettes and am actually quite drawn to Ring the Alarm (think wearable oranges and pinks) and Bling Boss ( mauve purple hues). I also love that each palette has ten shades ( a mix of mattes and shimmers). I want to cave. My only reason for including this in the haul is that I own way too many palettes.
I am so over the release of differently designed beauty blenders. To be honest I think their overhyped and a regular sponge ( my favourite is the Real Techniques Miracle Sponge) works just fine. Also £17 for a sponge is extortionate.
