In my life time I have collected what I can only deem an unnecessary amount of highlighters. There is something about their sparkle which attracts me like a moth to flame. This has hit my bank balance hard, but on the plus side I think I’m well placed to share my favourites 🙂
Victoria Beckham Estee Lauder Modern Mercury
This is without a doubt my favorite highlighter. It is not cheap. I think I originally bought this for £50 before it went up to £55. The packaging is so luxurious and worth buying it for alone. It has a beautiful silver sheen to it which give you a glow from within look. It also lasts forever ! Big bonus as I think Estee Lauder have now discontinued it.
This has joined the ranks as a trusty silver toned highlight. I loved that this comes in a mini format which not only makes it super affordable, but also convenient for travel. I’m dying to try the shade Rodeo Drive.
I actually got this in duty free after my sister recommended it. This is more on the subtle side but can definitely be built up. I think I tend to gravitate towards silvery highlights. But this would suit most skin tones.
This is different from any of the other highlighters I own. This actually gives a pink gleam to those cheekbones. While not my usual look, this looks beautiful when paired with a pinky blush or if your going for more of a vibrant look. I think this would be hard to pull of day to day though.
I was dying to own this. Literally dying. Then my boyfriend got me it and I was over the moon. What I learnt unfortunaty is that gold highlights do not suit me. Maybe because I have a yellow undertone. I don’t know. This does make for a beautiful gold eyeshadow though.
Although this looks gold in the pan. It’s not. I feel like it’s a hybrid between gold and silver. It’s pressed in the pan in a wave and looks beautiful. Overall I love this highlight and think the two tone combination would suit a lot of skin tones.
So there you have it, a snippet of my highlighter collection. Which ones do you own?
