Any excuse for a makeup haul :)

I have been slightly absent on the blog front, but work and my brothers recent wedding took over slightly in the month of November. Also I seem to have developed contact dermatitis which has limited me posting any make up looks ( a reaction to a makeup product around my eyes). Alas, Black Friday and the overall Christmas period has seen a surge in my makeup purchases.

ABH Modern Renaissance palette

Yes, I know. I am very late to the party. So late that the party is probably over. But as a self-proclaimed makeup lover, I had to add this to my collection. I actually love that you can create soft glam using this palette and the pink colour scheme is to die for.

ABH Subculture palette

Again, I’m very behind. This product actually had very mixed reviews when it came out. With a lot of bloggers saying it had a lot of fall out compared to other palettes. I personally haven’t had this problem. I also like the color format of this palette. It has more greens and yellows, which I think is different and adds a bit of depth to my shadow collection. Personally I think green shadow are a great pairing if you have brown eyes.

Inglot JLO gel eyeliner in midnight

I’m not going to lie. I wanted to try a gel eyeliner and got sucked into the hype. In my defence Inglot notoriously sell a very high quality gel eyeliner. I’ve only used this a few times.  But first impressions were good. I love the formula. It’s soft and applies very smoothly amd evenly The he pigmentation is black! It stays put all through my long nursing shifts. The only downside is that I’m suspicious that this is the product to have caused the rash around my eyes so I will be sadly giving it away.

Inglot JLO Burnt Sienna

I have to say I’m a little disappointed with this gloss. The color is ok, but by no means super pigmented. You’d need to wear a lipstick underneath this. I also find the texture a bit sticky.

Fenty Pro Filt’r Foundation

Well I was browsing Harvey Nicks over Black Friday weekend and they had 10% off Fenty and I couldn’t resist. Again, I’ve only used this once so can’t give a full review. But so far so good. It’s medium to full coverage with a matte finish. I love the weighty glass bottle and the fact it comes with a pump.

Pixie Glow Mist

This is one of my favourite products. Of all the glow mists I’ve tried, this is the one that I feel truely works. It adds a glow to your skin without adding any weird glitter. Cult beauty now sell this is jumbo size so you get 160 ml of product for £20! Bargain!
