I love a beauty product as much as the next person. Probably way more. But have you ever bought a product and wish you hadn’t bothered? I thought I would share with you the five products currently in my beauty stash that just don’t do it for me.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in That Glow
I so wanted this to work for me! ABH and highlight. What could go wrong?! I have the palette That Glow which contains highlighters Sunburst, Golden bronze, Bubbly and Dripping in gold. You actually get 7.4 g of product each for £41, so its value for money. However, in this case the highlighters just don’t have the pigment and I find the glitter particles too chunky. I have tried them as highlighters and as eyeshadows and maybe its my complexion, but they just don’t work!
Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Trophy Wife
I may possibly be hated for this, but this is not a highlight. It is such true gold with so much glitter. To be fair, I think it has the potential to work on deeper skin tones. I still think it’s beautiful don’t get me wrong . But it is so difficult to pull off as an actual highlight. I love it as an eyeshadow and using it this way will change your life. However it’s way too much for highlight and I definitely just fell into instagram hype with this one.
Origins GinZing refreshing eyecream to brighten and depuff
I primarily bought this because Kaushal Beauty raves about it (we’ve all been there!). I don’t see any result with this. The formula feels nice under the eyes yes but it doesn’t live up to its claims of brightening or depuffing. In fact so much so that I’ve discontinued it in my skin care routine so if you have know any eye creams please let me know!
This is one of my most research make up purchases and it pains me to say it, but it really wasn’t one I needed. It doesn’t really add anything to my collection. It’s contains 6 matte shades. Personally I prefer a mix. But my biggest annoyance with it is that three of the shades are practically exact dupes for the original Naked heat palette which I own and love. Lesson learnt. Do not buy a mini version of the palette you love, because you will love the original more.
Limecrime Liquid lipsticks
Limecrime invented the liquid lipstick! I so wanted these and received them as a gift. I own Cougar, Low Cut and Saint. Although the shade choice was spot on ( I love a brown nude), I find them quite difficult to use. They just don’t sit on the lip comfortably. They dry matte fast! Although pigment isn’t an issue, they somehow end up looking patchy. They are so drying to the point of uncomfortable and I’ve found myself using these less and less.
