My Updated PM Skin Care Routine

Finding a skin care routine that works for you is not easy, and everyone’s skin is different. I have dry-comboation skin ( even drier in the Winter!). If you do too these little gems might work for you too :). This post focuses on my evening skin care routine (truth be told my morning routine is veryyyy short and a little boring).

This normally starts with removing the grime of the day. I’m a big believer in the double cleanse and my new Farmacy Green Clean Cleanser has rolled the two steps into one! Three times a week I tone using the Alpha-H Liquid Gold with Glycolic Acid. Once that’s all done, its face oil time. My sister got me The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane for Christmas and it works wonders if you have dry skin. It’s so hydrating. Then comes in my newbie-the retinol. Apparently these little gems are the only things you can physically buy over the counter to reverse the signs of ageing (fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots). You name it, it does it. Retinol stings. There is no getting around it. So the advice is to start at a low percentage and work your way upward. I have done just that and started with the 0.2% retinol from The Ordinary. So far, so good.

While I don’t claim to have the best skin in the world, this routine does work for me. And a majority of the products are quite affordable.

If you have dry skin, what products have worked for you?

I LOVE the ordinary! All I use is First Aid Beaty moisturizer, and I alternate between 4-5 Ordinary products
