Urban Decay Naked Petite Heat

I loved the Urban Decay Heat palette. Hands down, my favourite palette of last year. So when Urban Decay announced a petite version, I literally could not wait.

I ordered mine directly from the Urban Decay website. It retails for £26, so fairly wallet friendly. It came beautifully packaged in a purple embossed box. Slightly over the top, but pretty nonetheless.

The two main reasons I like this palette are-

1-it’s tiny. Both  compact and light weight with an inbuilt mirror so perfect for travel.

2- It has 6 brand new shades -Inhale, Vibrate, Hot spell, Wild thing, Heist and Strike

Overall though, I’m not overwhelmed. You can use it to create that burnt orange eye look or a neutral eye. But I would say the look book you can create is fairly limited.  Although named differently I would say three out of the six shades are almost identical to the original Naked Heat palette. Inhale to Ounce, Vibrate to Chaser and Strike to Ashes. That being said, the pigments are of the same same quality that you would expect from Urban Decay. Highly pigmented, completely buildable  and blendable. However, in my opinion it lacks a good inner corner highlight and some sparkle. Inhale just doesn’t do it for me. I would say this is more of a basic eye look palette and a good option if you don’t own the full heat version.

It looks like a great mini palette! I’m kind of disappointed that all the shades are matte though
